My Grandma Kellum, from Hamilton, Ohio (a suburb of Cincinnati), came all the way to Florida to see me.  I was so happy to get to spend almost a whole week with her.  She is 91 years old and feisty as ever but her memory is sharp as a tack!  Since her and my mom were in town at the same time, I figured we should have a belated Mother’s Day lunch which is where these top few pictures were taken.

On Wednesday night we took her to see the Cirque Du Soleil, Michael Jackson show which was a whole new experience for her.  With the crazy acrobatics, dancing, and singing it was out of this world awesome! She loved it!

Then toward the end of the week we took grandma to the beach for a couple of days and this is basically all she did the whole time:

^^The dog, in the picture above, is Scotty and that is Grandma’s pride and joy.  She sure does love that dog! ^^

I guess the love of dogs runs in the family ;).

On our final night together we got all fancy and went to a nice dinner at The Melody Inn.  Whenever we do anything a little more formal my Grandma always likes to say we were “real uptown”.  Which I’m taking to mean that we are classy broads, which I’ll admit  we were for the evening… we were SO uptown,  I even got Grandma to try escargot for the first time in her life!

Overall I would say it was a successful trip for Grandma.  She did get ill toward the end of the trip and was in the hospital (back in Ohio)  for the last week, but yesterday she got transferred to a rehab facility and is starting to feel a little better.  Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I love you Grandma!  Thanks for coming to visit me and I will see you again very soon!
