Bennett Wesley :: 9 Months Old

Today as we were leaving our 9 month appointment the doctor says, “Bye Bennett!  See you after your first birthday!”

Ummmm… excuse me?!?  First birthday?? That’s like… light years away, right?!?  I guess not {insert head thrown back, crying emoji face here}.  I don’t even want to think about that.

This nine month old baby of mine is seriously a handful.  I knew he would be the day he was born, but every day is a new adventure with him.  He is full of emotions, loves trying any and all foods, loves opening and closing every drawer and cabinet in the house {we recently baby proofed}, and tries to climb on/ off everything.  This boy does not sit still. Ever.  He is always curious about what is around the corner, behind the door, down the stairs, up the stairs, in his room, in Husband & my room, our bathroom, etc… He loves tormenting the dogs, chasing after them in his walker, it’s probably one of the funniest things to watch.  Sasha likes the chase but Layla steers clear.

Bennett got sick for the first time 2 weeks ago.  It was not fun.  Poor little dude was miserable, I’m so glad it’s finally gone.  I’m actually quite shocked he didn’t get sick sooner.  I keep him active in a lot of social baby outings such as music class, Gymboree, and playdates, so I guess I should count myself lucky since it just recently happened.  I’m definitely not looking forward to the next cold… they really linger :(

Other than that, Husband & I are having so much fun taking this sweet boy for bike rides around the hood, going to the parks to swing on all the swings and slide down all the slides, shopping for cute little boy clothes ;)… He still LOVES bath time & “Brown Bear Brown Bear”.  At his appointment this morning, he weighed in at almost twenty pounds and was over 31 inches long.  Doc says he is very healthy and so happy!  This boy is the very best thing to ever happen to Husband & I!  I still cannot believe he is ours!  He amazes me every single day! We love you so much, Bennett!
