My heart is going to {literally} burst just looking at these pictures!! This sweet boy of mine, this little wiggle monster, this ticklish, smiley flirt! I can’t…
At our last 4 month check up, which actually took place a week after he turned 4 months due to us being out of town, we found out this stud was 28 inches long (100th percentile) and weighed 16 pounds. Now, it’s been 3 weeks since that appointment, but that’s the latest update on his stats. The Dr. couldn’t believe how long he was, she remeasured after the medical assistant measured him. She confirmed what we all knew, he’s a healthy growing boy! She informed me that he was ready for some cereal and pureed foods which MADE MY WHOLE WORLD!! I left there on cloud nine! We are still figuring out the quantities that this boy wants or needs, but not having that constant tether of breastfeeding has been a breath of fresh air. I still pump for milk to put in his cereal, and he still feeds with me quite often, but it’s not nearly what it was… thank you, Jesus! I’ll take it!
Bennett and I have joined a mommy/baby group where we meet up once or twice a week with a bunch of other moms and their babies for play dates. So far, Bennett absolutely loves it! He is so observant of what the other babies are doing. He likes to show off his latest tricks (right now he’s rocking back and fourth on his hands and knees- almost crawling) and he loves to smile and play with all the toys. And while the babies are all doing their own “thang”, the mommies get to talk about anything and everything that has been going on in our lives. Most of us are new moms which makes it nice because we are going through very similar things. The group is perfectly proportioned with babies that are only about 2-3 months older and younger than Bennett. I actually look forward to this outing every week!
My boy is definitely starting the teething process. The drool is never ending. No teeth have cut through just yet, but it’s going to happen soon. He is so interested in food. Any time Husband & I are eating, B will stop whatever it is he is doing and stare at us. Poor guy, he needs some teeth so he can try all the yummy food! Ha ha ha! Soon enough… for now he can eat his peas {hates them} and bananas {loves them}.
I’m really excited for B’s first Halloween later this month! He’s going to have soooo much fun! Can’t wait to share all the cute pics of him in his costumes!
I guess that’s it for this post… Bennett, you bring so much sunshine to our lives. We love you beyond measure.
xx Mommy & Daddy
