This little stinker… gosh, he’s the BEST!  He can go from completely content to unbelievably tragic in a split second.  Ha ha ha!  Today we had our two month check up with the pediatrician, and she confirmed what we already knew… He’s perfect!  ;)  His length did not change but he has gained about 1.5 pounds.  He had 3 vaccinations, 2 of which he took like a champ.  The 3rd… well, that one had a heartbreaking reaction from him, but as soon as it was over he was over it and moving on to the next thing… milk!  He’s still a breast milk only baby, enjoying every drop I have to offer.  Unfortunately, his acceptance of bottles has made a drastic turn for the worse.  He refuses to accept from anyone at all… We will continue to work on this, but in the meantime, I’m still tethered to my lil man.

It’s amazing how much babies change in a month.  Bennett is so much more alert than ever!  He makes wonderful eye contact with any and everyone he comes in contact with.  He can smile :), not on command, but definitely when he is a good mood (i.e. after feeding).  He enjoys watching ceiling fans and bright lights for long periods of time, he still loves taking warm baths, appreciates frequent diaper changes, and he has been sleeping 8 hours (at least) per night, in his own crib, in his nursery!!  He’s awesome.  He and Husband have lots of long babbling conversations these days as well.  It’s probably one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen.

This weekend Bennett will be taking his first flight to Ohio to meet his 92 year old great grandma.  She is so excited to meet him, and I cannot wait for him to meet her!  I think I’m a little overly prepared for the flight/ airport situation.  I have played every possible scenario that could go wrong in my head about a thousand times, and have come to the realization that there is no way that it could go as bad as I’m thinking.  I totally got this!  If things get poopy (one of the scenarios) I will definitely let you guys know about it in a post next week ha ha ha!

That pretty much sums it up.  Another month in the books!  I love you, Benny!
