Today marks our six year wedding anniversary, and so far it has been the most glamorous morning! Woke up to a congested infant at 3 a.m. who was desperately hungry like he hadn’t eaten in weeks, then fell back asleep (thank you Jesus!!) for what seemed like 10 minutes but was actually 3 hours. We have changed 3 poopy diapers, cut up a banana to go uneaten by our toddler, made toasted bread with butter to be tossed aside by the same previously mentioned toddler, just to play with the same “chunky size” puzzle of construction trucks that has been put together at least 22 times this morning. We have built 3 towers of mega blocks to be pummeled, we have filled and refilled multiple bottles of milk, wiped snotty noses, given medicine through syringes, watched an episode of Sesame Street, read Little Blue Truck, have given lots of kisses to tiny foreheads, and had our necks hugged so tight…

I know to some this does not describe the morning of their dreams, but being six years deep in this thing called marriage, this is the only way I would want it to be!  It’s everything I ever wanted!  Waking up next to you, Husband, is all I can ask for in this crazy life we are living and I’m still so grateful to call you mine.
