Napa Valley :: Part 2

Newton Vineyard

Holy wow!  When we arrived at the top of the massive hill to Newton Vineyard the views just took our breath away.  Completely.  It was like we had left California and entered France!  The gardens, landscaping, perfectly manicured trees and lawns… OH MY, IT WAS GORGEOUS!  There are no words to describe the beauty, I’ll just let the readers admire the pics…

P.S. this was the only winery we purchased a bottle of Chardonnay from.  I’m not much of a white wine drinker, but it was by far their best wine from the tasting.

For the Foodies

I didn’t take a bunch of pictures of food on this trip.  But I do have plenty of recommendations for those who may be visiting the wine country in the near future!

Great breakfast spot:

The Boon Fly Cafe

Lunch date:

Mustards

Dinner dates:

The Girl and The Fig

Auberge du Soleil

The runner ups:

Bouchon

Bottega

Cole’s Chop House

All of the restaurants were fantastic!  Just some were pretty exceptional in comparison, that’s why some are just runner ups…  I should mention that the service at all of the restaurants was superb and truly an experience all in itself.

Bon appetite!
