So, our last afternoon in Palm Springs was spent doing something adventurous, which means riding the Aerial Tramway 8,500 feet up to the top of the San Jacinto Mountain.  Whoa.  Such a cool experience!  While we were at ground level the temperature was probably around 80 degrees given that we were in the middle of the desert, but at the very top of the mountain… patches of snow were still present from winter and the temperature (obviously) changed dramatically! 30 degrees!  I don’t think a lot of people had taken the time to research where they were going because there were definitely those who showed up wearing shorts, tank tops, and sandals.  I felt a little sorry for them… not really ;) they didn’t stay very long.  I must say, for $25 per person to ride the tramway up and back, it was absolutely worth it.  The lines were not long, the trams are constantly running so there was no hurry to leave, and the food wasn’t bad either.  Loved it!

This. Resort.

Jaw dropping.

Heaven.

Husband & I just got back from a fantastic work week in Palm Springs.  The weather was absolute perfection, along with the meticulously manicured landscaping and mountains as the backdrop… oh my. I could live there… I could.  No twisting of any arms, I’d go willingly!  But like I said we were there for work and it was so good to see some of our friends at the same time.  There were lots of afternoons spent by the pool talking about best practices in everyones offices and us wives… well, we just talked about girl stuff ;)  We had a blast!  The week went by way too fast.  Can’t wait to see everyone again in a couple of months!

So… Palm Springs is kinda pretty…

Husband & I have been forced to suffer a whole week in this little place y’all may have heard of called Palm Springs ;).  Considering I lived in California for 5 years of my life, I am surprised I had never visited this area. It’s gorgeous!  A little cold in the A.M., but the scenery and this incredible sunrise on the mountains that I captured this morning… breathtaking!  Not a cloud in the sky!  But it’s not all fun and leisure while we are here… we do have some work meetings to attend, but there could be worse places to attend a meeting.  Much worse…

Happy Monday!
