Last week we went to Ballast Point with our friends, and I was blown away!  I cannot believe that was my first time there!  My mom had told me that it was awesome, but I guess I just thought, “oh, it’s just another kid park”.  Nope, it’s pretty freaking cool!  Not only does it have a huge playground with 3 very scary, tall slides, it has a smaller playground for little kids, AND a splash pad!  But what really makes this park stand out among the crowd is the pier!  The views of Bayshore Blvd and Downtown Tampa… as Bennett would say, “WOW”!  I can’t wait to take the boys back again.  Lucky for us, it’s so close to our house.

Lately, I have been thinking a lot about Bennett’s second birthday, which is just around the corner.  I have been finalizing some details on the birthday party (it’s going to be SO fun!) and just reflecting on his second year of life.  He is such a special little boy, he brings so much sunshine to my life.  I can’t wait to celebrate him!  Again! ;)

Hope everyone’s week is going well, half way to Friday!

The weekend before Christmas we attended the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade which goes through the channels of downtown Tampa.  It was actually pretty cool!  I cannot wait to take Baby D next year!

Last week when my girlfriend, Cheryl, informed me that she had an extra ticket to the Bruno Mars concert and asked if I wanted to go, my response was “Of course!”.  I had heard that he was amazing live so I wasn’t going to miss out on the opportunity to see the hype for myself!

Before last night, I wouldn’t have called myself a huge BM fan. For instance, I don’t know every word to every song, and I really only know the songs that are way overplayed on the radio BUT… I was pleasantly surprised!  The band was fantastic!  They mixed in some reggae and some old school R&B which I love.  And Bruno Mars can really sing!  So talented!  And we danced to every.single.song!

Dear Mr. Bruno Mars,  WOW… you put on a good show.  And I’m officially your newest fan. Thanks for making our Girls Night Out super fun!

Wicked :: A Broadway Musical

Wow!  Life has been so hectic lately, I have barely had time to breathe!  Top that off with being sick, and that about sums up how I am feeling right now. Luckily the sick part didn’t happen until the day I was heading home from Los Angeles on Monday (post coming soon)!  Thank goodness because I don’t think that trip would have been as productive had I felt the way I do today… blah!

Before I jetted out to Cali though, Husband’s parents invited us to see Wicked with them!  It was a great show! I was really impressed with the performances, especially the singing!  If you have the chance to see it, I highly recommend it!

Hope everyone is having a great week so far, we’re half way to the weekend! ;)

Friday night was a total throwback to my teenage years…  311 is not the best band in the world, but when I found out that we could see them in concert for only $20!!  Why not?

We dragged our friends, Lea & Josh, along for the show too! :)

Is this not the biggest order of nachos you have ever seen?  This filled 4 adults…

Cheers!

Although we didn’t know many of the songs, we had such a great time!  Nice moves, Josh!

Hope everyone is enjoying the rest of their weekend!
