This little man turned 8 months old on Saturday!  We were in Charleston, South Carolina for the Labor Day weekend, so this post is a few days late, but I would never forget to update on my sweet Remington!

Last time we were at the doctor’s office, he was 30.87 inches long (hundredth percentile) and 20.22 lbs.  BIG GUY!  Remember Bennett at 8 months? Gosh, look how much more hair Remy has than Bennett did at this age… crazy!  Like his big bro, Remy sure does love to eat.  He will try anything and everything.  He loves snacking on the puffs & yogurt bites, anything bread, and has taken a liking to chicken tenders and fries.  He is still eating pureed veggies/ fruit packs.  He especially like anything with sweet potato in it.  He has graduated to a medium flow nipple on the bottle, and soon I plan to let him start trying a sippy cup.  Bennett was drinking from a sippy cup at this age.

Remington is on the move with his crawling, he’s getting so fast!  He has been crawling slowly for a couple of weeks now, but recently he is getting faster and faster.  I gotta start picking up the dog bowls and vacuuming more!  He still loves a lot of interaction and still smiles all the time.  He is so happy!  He follows his brother around in his walker, which I think annoys Bennett a little bit.  He is just so curious as to what Bennett is playing with or doing, he wants so bad to play and have fun.

I’m not sure if you guys noticed, but Remy officially has 4 teeth!  The two middle lowers and the two middle tops!  He has been suffering with the teething so much lately, it seemed like every night for a month he has been needing tylenol to help with the pain.  Poor guy.

He is still sleeping really well at night, loves bath time and long walks in the stroller, still not a big fan of the car seat, loves watching and being around other kids, has been on something like 14 flights, and thoroughly enjoys floating in the pool.  He is just such a joy to have around, and I don’t even remember my world without his precious face!

Remington James, you are such a light in our lives!  I can’t wait to see what the rest of your first year of life holds!  You have been the sweetest addition to our little family, and I couldn’t be more proud to be your mommy!  Love you, my baby!

Happy Baby Daddy Day!

^^ This guy keeps the Daddy bar set pretty darn high! ^^

On Friday, Husband had his first invite to have Father’s Day breakfast at Bennett’s school.  Oh!  I don’t think I have mentioned on here that Bennett had started school… here are a few pictures of him on his first day, and then I will get back to the post dedicated to Husband ;)

That’s Bennett’s teacher on the far right, Ms. Tracey.  He really seems to like her and seems to be really enjoying school as a whole!  No tears, always happy when I get there to pick him up and it’s not because he sees me, he is just having a good time!  Anyway, back to Father’s Day… So, Husband had the Father’s Day breakfast.  They got there and everyone ate muffins and waffles (and I think there was some other stuff but I forgot).  No mom’s were there at all :( I thought for sure he would send me a text saying all the moms were there and for me to come join them… whaaaaahhh!!  After breakfast they handed out the presents- Husband got a new grilling glove custom with Bennett’s handprints, name, and year, he also got a paper tie with coloring artwork that Bennett did himself, inside the tie was a Snickers bar!  He also got a card with the sweetest Father’s Day poem in it!  Too say I was a tad bit jealous would be an understatement, but boy, does this daddy deserve all the love!

Husband, you are the best father for so many reasons, but the top three that come to mind are:

1. You are a great example for these boys!  You are a hard worker, you love their mama, you spend every free moment with them… if they grow up to be just like you, I will be so proud!

2. You provide for these boys far and beyond what is expected of any father.  These boys will never have a need that will not be met because you make sure that they are taken care of.

3. You light up the room when you walk in!  You never let the stress of the day come home with you, when you walk in they are your only priority and they love it! Their eyes get big and they get a grin from ear to ear!  They just adore you!

Husband, the boys & I are so lucky to have you!  We love you!

Happy Father’s Day!
