Halloween 2015 :: A Week Later…

Halloween weekend was full of fun!  First we had our Fawns party with the Moms of South Tampa group, where we all met at Corona Park with our babies dressed up in their super cute costumes.   The big kids did some trick-or-treating in the park and decorated cookies while the little kids played on the jungle jim and swings.  It was a bit hot (pushing 90 degrees) so Bennett didn’t last long in his costume, but from the pictures you can see he had a great time!

Halloween night was another hot one, so again, Bennett didn’t last long in the T-Rex costume :( but we had the grandparents around and headed over to the block party on our street which had a nice turnout!  Everyone brought a appetizer and donated $5 for beer and wine, and we got to mix and mingle with our neighbors and their kiddos!  I think B had more fun at the MOST event because of the playground, but next year he will be so into Halloween, I just KNOW it!  Ha ha ha!

the LIZARD hunter

IMG_4741Our middle child, Sasha, has really become quite the lizard hunter these days.  She pretty much has her technique down to a science.  When she knows I’m about to open the back door, she will prepare herself to dart out as fast as she can, then POUNCE on the bushes where she knows the lizards are hiding hoping to squish one with all her body weight.  Then, she will dig her nose into the area where she thinks she has caught one and ultimately bring me her prized possession as a gift inside the house… thanks Sasha… that’s very… thoughtful of you.

You know, at least it’s not a bat.  That’s one positive way of looking at this situation. Yes, she has brought me rabid bat before and then she had to be quarantined for 30 days… not fun.  Wish I had posted that story back in December… dang.  But I have a picture to prove I’m not making this up!  GROSS!!!!  Ha ha ha!!!
